|SEASONAL LANDSCAPE/GROUNDS WORKER, GOLF SERVICES 13-0081: $8.00 – $11.00/hour DOQ. Schedule varied, M-F 5:30 am–2:00 pm + weekends and holidays required. Valid Colorado driver’s license required. Must be at least 16 years of age. The City of Longmont has Seasonal Status for unemployment benefit purposes for workers in this position. Per regulations of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, a position designated as having Seasonal Status does not entitle workers in the position to unemployment benefits. Work in this position will be available only during the period beginning at the earliest April 8, 2013 and lasting no longer than October 4, 2013.
|DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor and the direct supervision of a Golf Course Maintenance Technician, performs a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks related to golf course maintenance, small equipment operation, grounds maintenance, construction and repair golf courses and landscape areas. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Operate a variety of small equipment used in the maintenance of golf courses such as, mowers, trimmers, power tools, hand tools and various specialized golf course maintenance equipment. Participate in a variety of assigned maintenance duties on golf course grounds and buildings. Participate in the repair and installation of irrigation sprinkler heads and water lines. Perform routine maintenance of electric golf cars. Participate in the construction and renovation of golf facilities. Clean shops and restrooms regularly. Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and landscape areas. Maintain golf facilities such as putting greens, cups, flags, tee markers, ball washers, repair ball marks, water coolers, edging and raking sand bunkers, drainage, weed control, cart paths and parking lots. Work as a member of a crew with supervision. Perform related labor duties as assigned.
