| DEFINITION: Under the general supervision of the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor and the direct supervision of a Golf Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to golf course maintenance, equipment operation, grounds maintenance, construction and repair of associated facilities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Operate a wide variety of small to medium sized equipment used in the maintenance of golf courses such as tractors, trenchers, aerators, mowers, trimmers, chain saws, power tools, hand tools and various specialized golf course maintenance equipment. Participate in a wide variety of assigned maintenance duties on golf course grounds and buildings. Repair and installation of irrigation sprinkler heads, lines, and controllers. Perform equipment repair, adjustments, and lubrication. Perform routine maintenance of electric golf cars. Perform general plumbing and carpentry duties. Participate in the construction and renovation of golf facilities. Clean shops and restrooms regularly. Remove, plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and landscape areas. Maintain golf facilities such as putting greens, cups, flags, tee markers, edging and raking sand bunkers, drainage, weed control, cart paths and parking lots. Work alone with minimal supervision or as a member of a crew. Perform related duties as assigned.
