13-0357 Swim Lesson Coordinator
Swim Lesson Coordinator 13-0357:  $11-$14/hr DOQ. Temporary part-time 20-28 hrs/wk. Swim Lesson Coordinator plans, organizes, schedules, supervises, and evaluates the City of Longmont swim lesson program. Hours include mornings, evenings, and weekends.Must be at least 18 years old.   
Primary Duties: Organize classes and schedule instructors for swim lessons and specialty programs offered by Aquatics for the City of Longmont. Compile information from evaluations of staff and programs and inform supervisor of results. Supervise and evaluate swimming instruction staff. Assist in hiring and training of instructional staff to ensure proper performance of their duties, Preform staff evaluations. Assist in or lead and participate in staff meetings and/or trainings. Additional Duties: Teach lessons, lifeguard if possess current Lifeguarding certificate. Assist patrons or staff in emergency and non-emergency situations. Observe, follow and enforce established policies and procedures of the division. Deliver work and services in a timely and efficient manner. Be courteous and tactful in personal interactions with customers and staff. Assist front desk personnel with class registration, daily attendance figures, reservations, phone calls, and other duties to ensure efficient operations. Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade. A minimum of two full years of teaching a variety of swim lessons and public contact work. Special Qualifications: Current certifications in American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction, Community first Aid and CPR for the Professional. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification desirable. Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
