|DEFINITION: Under direction of the Energy Services Manager performs a variety of professional and administrative duties related to utility customer service, electric services and customer education.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Assist in the development, implementation, coordination and support of utility customer service programs to build and maintain excellent customer relations. Provide customer education, information and assistance regarding utility services, rates, reliability, safety and energy efficiency. Respond to customer inquiries about utility issues and help resolve customer billing and service problems. Coordinate customer energy services such as energy audits, power quality audits, lighting surveys, workshops and the development and distribution of energy efficiency information.
Plan and implement energy conservation programs for customers. Assist in developing customer program support materials and resources. Analyze commercial and residential electric rates, investigating customer usage and determining/recommending appropriate rate classification. Respond to customer inquiries to resolve billing concerns and meter-reading, rate and energy issues. Communicate with both the customer and Utility Billing regarding changes.
Develop and implement community and school outreach programs on energy safety and conservation.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in typical office environment. Requires light (up to 15 lbs.) lifting and carrying, frequent reading, use of math, and reasoning. Requires ability to communicate in oral and written form both one-to-one and before groups. Occasional travel to attend meetings, conduct and attend training/presentations, and conduct energy audits at customer sites. Requires frequent customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, maintaining confidentiality of customer account information, and working closely with others.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Marketing, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and 3 years experience in energy services, utility customer field services, marketing, or business retention, preferably in a utility. Knowledge of electric industry technology and previous experience in energy management, energy auditing and energy services is strongly preferred. Must be proficient at Excel and Power Point.
Special Qualifications: Possession of valid Colorado Drivers License.
