|DEFINITION: Under the direction of a Human Resources Partner, perform administrative, support, and technical assistance with recruitment and selection processes and a variety of other Human Resources functions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Perform a variety of duties to assist with recruitment and selection processes including: Prepare job postings, place web ads, perform initial screening of applications, perform data entry of applicant status updates, and contact applicants to schedule interviews. Schedule and administer testing for clerical candidates. As needed and assigned, may also assist with interview processes. Schedule drug screens and physical abilities tests for candidates. Assist with background screens for candidates. Prepare paperwork for new hires and separating employees. Prepare Family & Medical Leave paperwork for employees. As needed and assigned, assist with maintaining and filing Human Resources paperwork, function as backup to front desk staff, and assist with new employee orientation programs. Perform other human resources-related tasks as needed and assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work entails continuous use of verbal and written communication, customer contact and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Work requires the ability to efficiently use a computer and associated hardware and software. Work frequently involves confidentiality, reasoning, problem solving, mathematical calculations, and detail. Work involves working alone, as well as working closely with others. Work involves occasional moderate (under 20 lbs) lifting and carrying.
QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level courses or workshops in human resources, business, public administration or a closely related field plus one year of administrative or technical experience in human resources related work. Selection process will include complete job description review, personal interview, computer skills testing, background investigation including criminal background check, and substance screening.
